This was Kali's 1st time eating solid food. She did really good and loved the rice that she had. Both Alivia and Kenzie didn't like rice when they were little so I was pretty excited.

Nov. and Dec. 2011
I love this picture. I told Terry that my new camera has a smile option that it wont take the picture until you smile and so this is her smiling so that the camera will go off. We moved to Fairview the day before Thanksgiving we are loving it here. Blake and Terry are awesome and they have been letting us rent their rental home it has two bedrooms downstairs and an attic room upstairs so it is about perfect for our family, when the girls get bigger we will have to get a bigger place but for now it is perfect.
Terry and Blake came to our house for Dinner one Sunday and after we ate Terry took the girls out and taught them how to feed the birds with a pine cone and Peanut Butter with the birdseed. They loved it and can't wait for the birds to start coming to our house.

This was Kali's 1st time eating solid food. She did really good and loved the rice that she had. Both Alivia and Kenzie didn't like rice when they were little so I was pretty excited.
Kali loves to be left alone and play on her own. She loves her toes, take off her socks and she will be entertained for a long time.
Alivia and Kenzie absolutely love their little sister. They want to do everything with her and be next to her anytime that she is not being held by anyone else.

Alivia love to watch T.V. I don't know if this is a good thing or Bad. I guess it depends on the day. I am having to tell her all the time that People are more important than T.V. shows.

Kali Merle Madsen 6lbs. 14oz.
Kali Merle Madsen was born on Aug. 5, 2011. It all started the day before when I went in to see Dr. Bailey like I always do every once or twice a week. I have been having really high blood pressure so each week I would go to see him, get a non stress test and most of the time a ultra sound as well. On the 4th I went in and I could get my blood pressure to go down so we nearly started me that night but in the end he decided to start me at 6:00 the next morning. Nick had been on the mountain cooking dinner for the growers for Norbest Turkey so when he got home and I told him we were going in the morning to have her he didn't know if he was quite ready yet.(I was still not due for another 3 weeks). Me on the other hand had been ready for a really long time.
They started me and everything went really well. Everything that I was afraid of that would go wrong didn't and at 4:25 p.m. after what the Dr. said was a grunt Kali was finally here. She has brought so much happiness into all of our lives. She really has been a perfect baby. The only time that she cries is when she is Hungary and for the past week she has been only waking up once if that in the night. Alivia and McKenzie absolutely love her.(Which makes it really hard at times) Kenzie is always trying to hug and kiss her and when I tell her to back off a little bit she always just tells me "but I love her" We named her Kali because Nick and I both liked the name as well as both livie and kenzie. We gave her the middle name Merle after my Grandma McKee she is the only Grandparent that Nick and I have left and is truly one of the most amazing women that I have ever known.
Nick is getting Kali ready to leave the Hospital. She really doesn't like to be dressed that much every time you change her she grunts the whole time.
Finally after she got all dressed and put into her car seat she went to sleep really quick, then slept the whole way home to meet my mom and girls just getting home from church.
I just had to take a picture of her sleeping. This is the first night at home. Oh how I love this little princess.
Here is a picture of Kali at one week old. This is the first day that I finally put her in an actual outfit. The rest of the days we put her in sleepers.
The first couple of days that we got back from the Hospital my mom and Nick took turns coming home and helping out with Livie and Kenzie. This is Nick and the girls heading out to go on a little hike up Maple canyon. He said that they did a really good job. They did about a mile and even Kenzie didn't have to ever be held.
I was getting a little stir crazy being in the house all of the time and Nick had to spray for bugs so we couldn't be at the house so we decided to take a little drive up to Fairview Lakes. It was absolutely beautiful Kali and I didn't make it out of the car but Nick my mom and the girls all went on a little walk up to the Madsen plot and I picked them up there. The flowers were amazing I wish that my camera could have picked it up a little better.

The 4th of July 2011
This year the whole family was able to make it for the 4th of July celebrations which is always a lot of fun to see everyone. We started (My brothers and Nick, and my brothers in-law) the long weekend off with putting in a sprinkling system for my mom. It took a lot of work, they started Friday night worked late then all day Saturday until late that night only to take a couple of breaks to eat. It will be so nice for my mom when it is completely finished they have all done an awesome job. We had a few bbq over the weekend and then on the 4th went to the parade, carnival, rides, and then watched the awesome fireworks that the firemen put on. All in all the weekend was a success and besides the heat and all the dirt coming in the house, it was a lot of fun.
Alivia and McKenzie waiting for the parade to start. I had a hard time finding outfits for them this year, I forget how different it is living in Moroni than it was living in the city. Thankfully I found these in the Clarence rack at WalMart.
I wanted to do something fun for Alivia's hiar for the 4th, I found a cute style online and this is how it turned out. I thought it was really cute and my niece Sage wanted it done as well. Livie loves Sage and thought it was pretty cool to have the same hair as her.

A little bit of everything this year
So this year has flown by so fast that I haven't even been able to keep up. My Camera was acting up and Nick gave me a new flip for Christmas but I haven't figured out how to take the pictures and put them on the computer yet, so I will just have to write a little about what is going on in our lives. Nick was working for a company called Tanner LLC but in May he was able to get the Senior Accountant job for Norbest Turkey. This was super news because both of us have always wanted to make it back to Sanpete to live but didn't think that we would make it until retirement time. It all happened so fast that we were in a rush. I was also just finishing up Preschool and doing quite a bit of hair. Well thanks to a lot of help from my sister, friends, and the elders quorum we were able to move back to Moroni to stay with my mom until our house is sold. So far we have been out of luck on finding a buyer I just hope that we can sell it soon. I am also expecting our third girl that is Due Aug 27th. The day after Kenzies birthday and the day before my dad died. I got put on bed rest a week and a half ago with toxemia where my blood pressure is high. Thankfully it has only been moderate so it hasn't been too bad. I have to go into the Hospital 2 times a week though and get a ultra sound and non stress test done and to see Dr. Bailey. Right now we are pushing to get to 36 weeks before we have her.
Alivia also starting playing Tball this year. She has been a lot of fun to watch and see how much different she was then me when I was a little girl. She is all girl where I was a little tom boy. The first game that she played after she hit the ball she ran around the bases and when coming into home plate the couch yelled to touch home plate and that is just what she did. Not with her foot but with her pointer finger. She just cracks me up and I love her and Kenzie so much, they have been a ton of help while I have been so sick and prego. I really am lucky to have them in my life and am grateful for my awesome husband and mom as well. Life is really good right now.
Livie has made a lot of friend while we lived in Syracuse. These two we in my Preschool but also became good friends with Liv.They are both sweet hearts and it is really sad that they wont be growing up with her. The girl on the left is Kaycee and the girl on the right is Chloe.
We made it to the Hill Air Force Museum a few times this year. It was a lot of fun to see all of those planes the kids loved it and there is a place in there that they can play on and learn so much. They have a plane that you can get into the cockpit and pretend that you are flying and many computer games to play. It really turned out to be a lot of fun and the best part of it is that it was free. I also took my Preschool class as well and they all really enjoyed it, the only bummer was that I wasn't feeling very good that day but all in all it turned out really great.

Alivia got her first stitches this year. I was talking on the phone with my sister Lisa when I heard her screaming. When I first looked down at her there was no blood thank goodness but it looked like I could see to her skull. I of course screamed on the phone and hung up and put a band aid on as quickly as possible. Then hurried her over to the instacare. The nurses and the Doctor we super nice to her and she was really brave. Even when they gave her the shots to numb it. (She hates shots)She got 5 stitches and didn't cry once the whole time we were there. They gave her a little teddy bear that she now carries around everywhere and also sleeps with it.
How it happened... When I am on the phone she likes to follow behind me and hide when I turn around. (She thinks its so funny, but it drives me nuts) well she was running and was looking behind her then turned around only to run right into the corner of our bathroom counter. I am so glad that it didn't bleed much everyone I talked to later said that head bleeds usually bleed like crazy.

Christmas time 2010
This is really sad but this year I really slacked on the taking pictures job. My Camera has been giving me problems which I guess means that I need a new one. Actually Nick gave me one for Christmas but it is a camera/video and I really don't know how to run it and put pictures from it to the computer. We had a Christmas party at my sister Sara's house who just moved into her house 4 days before we did the present exchange in my nephew room which was rather large so that the whole family would be able to fit. Sadly this is the only picture I got of the celebrations.
Me Kenzie and Livie Christmas morning opening up the presents that Santa Clause had brought. This was our first time that we had Christmas at our own home before going somewhere else later. It turned out really great and had a good time spending Christmas Eve with Lisa, Dave, and Alex. It was really different than I had in the past but I still really enjoyed it as well as the girls.
Alivia and Mckenzie got Snuggie's from Santa. I love having them they are perfect to have in the car.
The girls standing and showing what they got from Santa this year. Kenzie was so excited to get her pillow pet. She had been wanting one since Alivia got one for her Birthday.
It was a lot of fun a few days before Christmas we had a Bishopric party and went to Maddox in Brigham city to have dinner and do white elephant gifts.

Lagoon Fall of 2010
This year when we bought our car it came with 4 Season tickets to Lagoon. Nick doesn't like Lagoon in the least bit.(He hates crowds) so we gave one of the tickets to my sister Lisa so that she could go with us. Since we have been buying Season tickets for the past couple of years this was awesome to get them for free. This is the last time that we made it to Lagoon for the Season of 2010 which was the day before Halloween we had a ton of fun and my girls are really going to miss it this coming year. since we are having another baby I decided that it wasn't the best idea to be going to Lagoon all the time.
Kenzie got a little confused when Livie and Alex were putting their heads in the hole to take a picture for the life of her she wouldn't do anything else either, this was the best we could get.
Riding the Marrygoround, this is Kenzies favorite and pretty much the only ride that she would get on for most of the year. It was kind of a waste having her use a Season pass she was usually just as happy to watch the other kids ride all of the rides.

Here is Kenzie enjoying watching the kids have fun, I can't believe how stubborn she can be you have got to love it.

This was the only time in the entire year that Kenzie went on this ride it was also the last time since Alex and Livie went a few more times and Kenzie refused to get back on it.
This time of the year is actually on of the very favorite times of the year to go to Lagoon especially this day since there really was hardly anyone there and we got on the rides right away. I am going to really miss going I actually really enjoy going with the girls they get so happy to go there and I love seeing how happy it makes them.
