Happy Halloween

For Halloween this year we went to Black Harvest farms. I had set up a fun filled day for the Preschooler's to come if they wanted for a little bonus day that month. It was a lot of fun we met and everyone that was with Little Tykes Preschool all went on a hayride that gave us a tour of the farm. During the tour they stopped and let us all pick a pumkin that we could take home and picked a few other things along the way and taught us about them. After the ride we went into the game area and we all split up and enjoyed the games in smaller groups. It was a perfect day for weather and all of the kids just loved it. In fact us parents went down some of the slides and played some of the games.
Some of the carrots that they picked for us to keep. McKenzie loved the carrots more than anything else she wouldn't let go of it for most of the day. Then as soon as we got home Alivia and Kenzie ate them.

Once you found the pumkin that you want you stand by it and raise your hand and they come around and cut it off the vine for you.

Lisa and Joey one of the Foster boys that Lisa had are enjoying the ride, and the carrot.

The kids went on a train ride that went round in a corn maze. I was a little nervous that Kenzie might try to jump out so I made Alivia ride with her. They both did awesome.
To get to most of the slides, you had to climb up all of the hay bails to get to them. Some of them were as high as the telephone poles. I didn't make it down them but Lisa did with both Alivia and Alex. I mostly just stayed with Kenzie and Joey while they went down the smaller slides.

They had a huge pumkin that was a bounce house that the kids could play in. They would only let a few in at a time so it worked out good to have Livie, Kenzie, and Alex in it by themselves.
After the playing was all done they had someone that would paint faces, since we were going down to Nick's work to go Trick or Treating I had them paint their faces. I thought that she did an awesome job and the girls loved it. I thought they looked super cute this year for Halloween.

Finally at Nick's work to do some Trick or Treating. His company just moved to the Key Bank tower that is in down town SLC. It really is amazing in there. This is just his little cubby but the whole place is amazing.

Hoggle Zoo summer 2010

This past summer we went to Hoogle Zoo. I know I am way behind on everything but hopefully some day I can catch up and get all of the fun times down. My sister Lisa had a little foster boy named Joey that stayed with them for a while. We decided to meet up at Hoogle Zoo and so that Joey could go with his mom and that Lisa, Alex, me and the girls could go in the hot sun and enjoy all of the animals. My girls just love all kinds of Animals so it made it a lot of fun going and seeing all the different kinds of animals that they don't get to see very often.
They have a fun little train that it just a couple of min. long it goes pretty fast and is done before you know it but they all just loved it.
Alex and Alivia checking out the Gorilla's and how they measure up to them. It was kind of fun to be able to stand so close to the Gorilla and realize how big they can be. Even though we were behind the glass it was still really intimidating to be so close to one,

Lisa bought all the kids some ice cream that they all just loved. It was such a hot day that most of it would melt before that they could eat it. We had to keep taking breaks in the shade so that the kids could rest.
Man Livie and Alex can sometime really get into it. You would think that they were brother and sister for how much that they fight. You can't really tell in this picture but they were at it and had to be separated for quite a while which happens nearly every day. Best friends and worst enemies.

Kenzie loves elephants it was fun to see them with the new baby they had there.

I always loved this lion head when I was growing up. I had a picture of me when I was little getting a drink the girls wanted to get theirs taken as well.

Madsen Family Reunion at Fairview Lakes

Blake was helping Nick get his fishing pole fixed. McKenzie got to it, and got it all tangled up it took the two of them to get it all worked out.
Kaden, Eli, and Alivia had a blast together. It was really cold that day and it even snowed a little bit the next day. The reunion was in the middle of July.

Both of my girls love Mike and Annie. They are really fun Aunt and Uncle.

Look how cute Elise and Alivia match. Elise and Annie and their family's camped up there that weekend in tents and couldn't find a spot for a really long time. Blake decided that it is a good idea to keep their campsite at Fairview Lakes.

At the pond there is so many tad poles. With every step a few jump. It was a lot of fun for all of the kids. We took a bunch back down to Fairview to put in Terry's pond but none made it past a week,

My Girls

The girls love to ride horses. Once you get them on it is a fight to get them off. Nick and I each year take the horses through the Fairview horse parade, when we are done we take all of the kids on a horse ride around the yard.

The girls getting ready to go down to Fairview for the 24th celebration. This is one of our favorite times of the year. All of Nick's family make it and we camp out in the back yard. This year Blake and Terry put up a sheet then set up projector and watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief.

Camping at Fairvew Lakes

McKenzie was pretty sick for the weekend so which was no fun. But considering it turned out to be a really fun weekend. The girls had a blast and the dog had even a better time. much better then being in our back yard all of the time.
Before we left we went to Terrils to get our food for the weekend while I was there I say these bow and arrows with some guns and bought them for the girls to have. It was a hit, they both played with them the whole time and had a blast.
The girls played in the car while nick loaded the Canoe back on the trailer. I had to go and unlock the gate for my mom to leave and walked back to the lake while Nick loaded the Canoe and oars.

We went camping up at Fairview Lakes and took our Canoe, it turned out to be great. The weather was a little chilly but very beautiful. as we took off from the shore our dog Nellie wanted to come with us so she jumped in the water and swam to us. The girls loved it even though it made our Canoe really muddy and wet it was actually really funny. We also went four wheeling and I guess Three wheeling on Saturday. My mom came up and stayed the night with us and when we went on the ride me my mom and Alivia rode on the 4 wheeler while nick and McKenzie rode on the 3 wheeler.
